Growing up in Dubai, Lahbab’s red Barchan dunes made me ask: with height and length fixed, how do the horns shape volume and surface area? I modelled three aperture ratios (λ = 0.25, 0.50, 0.75) using surface integration to compare each dune’s surface-area-to-volume ratio.
